[SUGGESTION] Make PTs the same scale as DakTank by dividing by 10

Short Description

This is very simple. I believe that a scale from 0-50 would be far easier to understand than 0-500. Right now, point values between 100-300 are the most common, and feel pretty high, but compared to 500 don't have much they can do. I think it'd be easier to understand if it was 10-30, and then 50 as the max in general (with 25 the max for AAS). This wouldn't change anything functionally.

I don't see why we need to divide cost by 10, just to make it directly comparable with Daktank. Daktank point costs are calculated differently anyhow. Also, AAS already has different economies which are proportional to different map sizes and layouts, 500 points wasn't the ceiling across all maps.

On the topic of points, though... I have some stuff I want to bring up with regard to the battle logger concept. Don't know if it's relevant to bring up in this suggestion, but there was already some commentary about a point ceiling made in the original post, so I will anyways. Better to have it stick here rather than in the discord, where it might get buried.

If a battle logger is to be implemented to make spontaneous, coordinated battles in sandbox possible, rather than requiring arranged gamemode play sessions on AAS or other servers due to our small community, I think a point ceiling of 500 for ground vehicles is fine. Many "meta" vehicles are over that ceiling, so they'd require some tweaking to be brought down to something more sane. Aircraft will be in a rougher state though. Ground vehicles can probably get by with just a point limit, as armor is fairly taxed in cost calculations, but I think aircraft will need a weight limit, armor limit, and a point limit to be balanced. 10.9t max weight / 20mm max armor from Valen rules are good enough, but I'm not certain as to what a good point limit for aircraft would be. I suppose CAS aircraft IRL tend to carry a pretty hefty armament, so for a value to start with I'd suggest around 150-200 points. They don't have any mobility components and much less mass in armor (compared to ground vehicles) to factor into their cost, so a lower ceiling makes sense. Could be reconsidered at a later date when work is put towards aircraft entities.

The values I mentioned here as ceilings could be completely meaningless depending on the implementation of that battle logger idea. Or if it even happens... I guess it might still be valuable discussion with regard to implementation of cost-based balancing via server rules. Anyways, back to the battle logger, I don't know if cost ceilings would be based upon absolute limits which can't be exceeded, or if it'd be based on configurable limits which could be set at the beginning of each battle. I personally believe that an absolute limit, set by the addon and not changeable by users when setting up battles, would be easier to build vehicles towards, decreasing the number of vehicles which players need to have working for battles to happen. Configurable limits would result in a similar issue which AAS has, with its varying point economies across different maps, where there are a TON of niches which need to be filled in each economy. That puts a ton of stress on the players for them to make a load of different vehicles if they want to play.

it's not to make it directly comparable i honestly just think they hit the nail on the head and that was the best. the difference between a 100 point tank and a 150 point tank is a single gun, and the number increase doesn't feel proportional to the actual performance increase of the vehicle in totality if that makes sense. a 100mm cannon is something like 70 points, but i think it would look much nicer as 7 points. a top vehicle being 50 compared to a mid of 25 just feels nicer in the brain in my opinion. no comment about the rest as its mostly unrelated to the immediate suggestion, i just included examples of the current system in use.
