Closing in favour of a full Capacitor v7 → v8 migration PR that bumps @capacitor/{cli,core,android,ios} together, bumps Node engine + CI matrix + Dockerfile to Node 22, and updates the android/ / ios/ native projects per the official migration guide. A standalone CLI-only bump leaves the toolchain mismatched (v8 CLI driving a v7 project) and breaks the Node 22 engine requirement.
