you should get something similar to

now click in one of the top purple panels and look to what happens in the bottom left panel and bottom rightmost label (red "Canceled")

you can see that bg_color properties get cleared (I suppose)

that's really annoying

@selamar The bg color is automatic, you have to properly fix the widget above the frame. I recommend not to use transparent option in bg_color.

It still does not work. Please see attached file. If you look in the file objects CTkButton21, CTkLabel51, CTkLabel34, CTkLabel33 and CTkLabel50 all have correct bg_color value, none of them has transparent bg_color, and all are"fixed" to their parent panel.
Then load the file and all seems to work well. Now click on the white part of then panel that has the text "Data Analytics Overview" and look how said controls change their background color (look for instance at the "Canceled" label down right). You can test the bg_color in the properties window before and after clicking on a frame, you will verify the propery has changed.
If it can help you, the same effect can be had clicking on any frame, but if you click on the window FG or on a label nothing bad happens, it's just the frames really.
