Cool!

However, I just realized that it might not be feasible for me to do it.

tl;dr my Debian boot drive is encrypted using Luks and TPM, and as soon as I replace the kernel I'm going to get locked out by TPM.

Resealing the new kernel in TPM is non-trivial. :(
