Alternative name for artist key

Just an observation about the name of the proposed artist key.

The draft currently only focuses on art, but from what I understand will be extended when other type values are supported.

Should we consider changing the name of the artist key to something more scalable?

If so, I assume it is possible that sometimes the person creating the NFT will not actually be the person who authored, produced or invented the asset.

So, I was thinking 'originator' or 'initiator' for example.

This is a good point.
What about 'creator'? That defines that they were the one who created the NFT, not necessarily the author of the art. That would apply across all types of NFTs, once we expand that way.

So long as it's clearly documented as you just did, and displayed that way in any UI then I think 'creator' is ok.

One thing I was thinking of, was if one put something different in "type" than "NFT/ART", it could affect the expected fields that one would look for.

FWIW, I think "creator" is ambiguous. Is that the creator of the artwork? Or the creator of the token? "Artist" I think at least implies that it's the creator of the embedded artwork that is being referenced.

Creator definitely is ambiguous. What about nft_creator? that is specifying that someone created the NFT solely, then they can use the narrative or attestation field to specify origins (if it is not theirs and they have permission to create said NFT).

There could be multiple artists behind an NFT, especially for music/video too..
