Alternative scheduler: time-of-arrival matrix + quadtree for active zones

Explore replacing or augmenting the event scheduler with a direct matrix of times‐of‐arrival for each cell and use a quadtree (or other spatial index) to track and process only active burning zones. This may provide performance benefits especially for large domains or sparse events.
