An interesting behaviour with Decoding Time on Android #383

It's a common cheating method to get higher scores during benchmarks. They tune the CPU power to the maximum while running benchmarks. It's not practical to use daily and this cheating method isn't controllable from user apps. Decoding time is already sub 1ms on my Y700 Gen 4 with ultra low latency enabled, 3ms on the Gen 3 before I sold it. The difference is so small that it should not be noticeable. |

On my 2021 Sony Android TV (Mediatek) is a HUGE noticeable latency difference between 28Mbit and 55Mbit Stream (H265). The decoder time goes "just" from under 5ms to over 8ms but it feels like much more is happening to the latency. So if there is a possibility to bring down decodertime please add this option to us (like the Snapdragon boost). Thanks for you work! |

I've discovered an interesting feature of artemis on android, specifically on the lenovo y700 2024. Usually, the decoding time is always 2-3ms, but if you enable the cpu test app in the background, the decoding time in artemis becomes 0.7-0.8ms. I'm not sure if this information is necessary, but it might help improve the performance of artemis.
