it's 8.13.1 update and players still can't load their savegames

I have the same issue on v8.17.4 on Windows 11.

I am seeing this issue as well. According to the forums this is very low priority for the team. Does anyone know when this got broken? I haven't worked with this code base yet, but I am a software engineer. If we can figure out when it broke maybe I can setup my own fork and resolve the issue myself (for all of us who enjoy saving games).
