About macOS multilingual support

Hi, I've downloaded the package for macOS and I've found it behaves differently as I was getting used to in FreeBSD. As I type a lot in Spanish, I've found that the multilingual mapping is different for macOS here. Any reason behind?

It will be nice if the multilingual capabilities stay consistent for all the different operating systems.
