+On Monday, June 1st at 12:30, [member/pierpaolo-venditelli] successfully defended his [PhD thesis](https://repository.ubn.ru.nl/handle/2066/332320) titled 'Learning from histopathology images: AI-driven biomarkers for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma'. His research focused on AI for pancreatic cancer pathology within the [project/pancaim] project, leading to work on prognostic biomarkers, multi-center validation, and clinically grounded deep-learning pipelines. We congratulate Pierpaolo and wish him good luck in his position as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Prinses Máxima Centrum!
