my instance keeps displaying this message in loop. I can not figure out why this is the case.

Right, I have followed the entire procedure step by step, the only detail that might be relevant is I ticked automatically update during the setup on my laptop side, then I uploaded the entire save folder to the vps and started the container.
Let me know what other information you could need

Because the folder was called "star system numbers" with spaces I renamed it to a space free name

I believe this log line belongs to steam update process, so in the first place its nothing that is related to SE itself. Maybe your container cant fint the way to the internet? There is no line like that in the game-logs itself on my server. Consider posting complete log output for more help.

ok this is indeed some problem with the steamcmd trying to get an app update. I dont know what to do in this case. Maybe check your starting script. did you ever run other games on this machine?

I ran an unturned server without many troubles and I normally run a Minecraft server but that is stream independent...
I will try disabling the auto update feature and see if that improves things

but i think that was related to "how to setup your world" not how to fix your steamcmd connection issues :)
i cant recreate this locally nor on my root server, so actually i dont have any idea whats the problem.
My Server is setup fresh for some days now and i had no troubles. Maybe delete docker image and redownload?

I think the problem is in steam, I have been slow to both download the game and the server
Try waiting 5/10m maybe it gets stuck like it did to me
