Download the DeusEx.u file

Then copy the DeusEx.u file into your Deus Ex\System\ folder, which is probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Deus Ex\System (make a backup of the original DeusEx.u).

Installation Instructions for Lay D Denton

Download Lay D Denton version 1.1 from here https://www.moddb.com/mods/the-lay-d-denton-project/downloads

Install Lay D Denton by copying all the files into your Deus Ex folder.

Download Deus Ex Randomizers's DeusEx.u file

Then copy Deus Ex Randomizers's DeusEx.u file into your Deus Ex\System\ folder, which is probably C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Deus Ex\System. This will overwrite the DeusEx.u file from Lay D Denton.

Installation Instructions for HX (Co-op)

Make sure to use the DeusEx.u file from the original game for co-op.

First download and install HX-0.9.89.4.zip from https://builds.hx.hanfling.de/testing/

Then copy HXRandomizer.u and HXRandomizer.int into the System directory of the game.

HXRandomizer is in early alpha testing and does not support all of the features that the single player vanilla randomizer has.

Changes

• Support for the Lay D Denton mod! Play Deus Ex Randomizer as female JC with full voice acting and randomized clothes!
  
• the light augmentation no longer costs energy and is much brighter, with a blueish color to match JC's eyes
• when enemies are given random weapons, they now lose their vanilla weapons in exchange
  • this should mean less pistols and more variety
  • they also have a 50% chance to get a 2nd randomized weapon
• enemies can now get a stealth pistol (4% chance)
  • the regular pistol has been reduced from 10% down to 5%
• reduced pistol ammo
• slightly reduced pistol damage
• reduced the maximum value for Mastered pistol skill
• renamed Randomized Starting Equipment mode to All Items Allowed
• added No Pistols mode, for people who think the pistol is still OP
• improved Autosave so that it doesn't overwrite your quicksaves
• buffed water fountains and water coolers so you can heal way faster
• rebalanced hacking
  • hacking now uses 5 energy per second instead of 3
  • slightly reduced the hacking speed for Trained and slightly increased the hacking speed for Master
  • the goal is for Master skill to sometimes be worth getting
  • also improved the Computers skill description text
• fixed backtracking bug in mission 14 (issue bug in sub base backtracking chopper #169)
• show how many items you can hold in a stack
  • for example if you have 2 fire extinguishers, the item description will say COUNT: 2 / 5
• Brightness boost now works in HX (edit HXRando.ini to increase it further)
• Large metal crates and flaming barrels are now destructible in HX too
