I believe you need to install vulcanize manually.

For me vulcanize is not being installed automatically. I believe you need to change your instructions to also install vulcanize when you install bower.

sudo npm install -g bower
sudo npm install -g vulcanize

Anyway, great demo:-)

@delay are you getting any errors or anything? When VULCANIZE=true do the imports not get vulcanized?
