VBA Expressions

Mr. Garcia. Thank you so much for developing VBA-Expressions. I have been writing a Microsoft Word Template for machine design calculations using VBA-Expressions. My hope was to sell the template. I see on Github that VBA expressions is distributed under the GNU v3.0 license. As I read this license I think that I should be able to sell this template using VBA expressions. Is this how you would interpret this? My plan is to reference your source code in the documentation. As you and I both know if I distribute this template, once someone downloads it my added VBA code would also be available. Again thank you for making VBA expressions.

Feel free to distribute the code and commercialize the template, always respecting the license clauses. If it is not too much to ask, I would like you to share the details of the project, with a view to promote it as a VBA Expressions use case. My pleasure!

Mr. Garcia,

Just a little bit of history I had a product called “Design Pad” that allowed you to perform calculations in a word processor type application. This was coded in Visual Studio in the early 2000s. It worked off of the VBscript object. I stopped making the software in 2007. I have still had the desire for something to serve the same purpose as the original Design Pad. Based on this late in 2024 I started to contemplate making another version of Design Pad. That is when I stumbled on VBA Expressions. Based on what you had created the path was clear to develop this version of Design Pad inside of Word. My design criteria is to keep it simple, by leveraging Word as much as possible.

I have attached my current instructions for the project.
