Quick Create & UI Enhancements

• Quick Create Button: Instantly create new flows—optionally named—directly from the start page.
• Window Manager Overhaul: Improved stability, layout management (cascade, tile, stack, reset), and event-driven handling for all panels. Fullscreen and focus now work more reliably.
• Graph Auto-Layout: One-click graph formatting for clearer pipeline visualization.
• Node Drawer Overhaul: All nodes now use a generic, event-based drawer with user-friendly drawer_title and drawer_intro metadata for better discoverability.
• UI Bug Fixes: Fixed duplicate/ghost open file icons (There are 2 open file icons? #68), click-blocked nodes, and removed legacy/unused components.

🏗️ Storage, Security & Infrastructure Overhaul

1. Storage & Infrastructure Modernization

Docker Volume Separation

• Docker Compose now uses two named volumes:
  • flowfile-internal-storage (internal logs, cache, temp files)
  • flowfile-user-data (user-uploaded files, flows)
• Volume mounts and environment variables updated for all core and worker services.
• Removed old temp-storage and shared_data volumes → better separation and simpler management.

Centralized Storage Configuration

• All paths for logs, temp, database, and user data now managed via the shared.storage_config module.
• Replaces scattered environment variables and platform checks → simpler, more secure.
• All backend references updated to use this centralized config.

2. Secure File Exploration

• SecureFileExplorer:
  • Strict sandboxing for all file/directory operations.
  • Prevents directory traversal attacks by sanitizing paths and restricting access to allowed roots.
  • Supports relative and absolute paths for user-facing operations.
  • Directory listings use iterative traversal with max depth, robust error handling, and filtering → higher security.

🛠️ Backend & Node Execution Improvements

• Event-Based Node Execution: Nodes now communicate via events → clearer UI separation, fewer side effects.
• Worker Operations: Exceptions now include function names for easier debugging; cache cleanup is more robust.
• Graph Execution:
  • Removed redundant node_results and nodes_completed attributes from FlowGraph.
  • Fuzzy match inputs now deep-copied → no cross-node contamination.
• Code Quality: Improved type annotations, removed debug prints, clarified error handling across backend.

🧹 Minor Improvements & Cleanups

• Version Bump: Now at 0.3.10.
• Frontend Cleanups: Removed unused Vue components and legacy files.
• Table Preview: AG-Grid now surfaces fetch buttons + outdated data banners → better UX.
