Compatibility w Vaadin 24.5.7 #8

Describe the bug
I imported the hello world crop view into a Vaadin 24.5.7 project. After I select the file to Upload, the dialog appears, but it is blank except for the "Crop" button. I'm experiencing the same back in 24.3.15.
I've also tried bumping the Vaadin version on this repo to 24.5.7 and ran into a dependency error with the apache commons library.
Is this a version compatibility issue, or, am I doing something else wrong?
