Future proofing: updating Astro image handling when updating the published website

We don't need to do this yet, but when we do, here is important guidance on how to update Astro's handling of image files, if we update the version of Astro on GitHub. The changes are small but significant for the astro layout pages.

A local page build of this project using the latest version of Astro will build and index the site contents and the edition, but the interactive functionality of the edition and image file handling will require careful updates, following Astro's documentation.
