Links to S-GA going to one place

On the MS views, we feature a link to the S-GA, but the link is not going to the corresponding location, and instead, all of the S-GA links go here to just one place much later in the notebook: http://shelleygodwinarchive.org/sc/oxford/frankenstein/volume/iii/#/p30

For now, I can only send them to one place. I meant to link it to the beginning but I might have misfired. Any suggestions to what to link it? Frankenstein landing page?

Ideally, each chunk page would go to the first page in the MS representing that chunk, and so far this would I think all be in c56. We don't have that many chunks posted, so I could quickly locate each one if we can make distinct links there. (It would be ideal if we could do that.)

So, one of the more interesting things the FV viewer is technically doing is re-sequencing the order of pages in the S-GA diplomatic edition. That's happening right away in our edition (as we begin with page 11 of the notebook), though we aren't really calling attention to it yet. The very first pages in S-GA are actually coming in to the FV viewer a little later. For "blue sky thinking", it might be nice to have a thumbnail view + link to each S-GA page running down one margin as those pages turn (and get remixed).

Thanks for locating the right spots, I'll see what I can do.

S-GA already offers a resequenced "logical" view, that is, in reading order. You can view either the manuscript or read "Frankenstein" (or rather the parts that are in the manuscript. I think for collation you used the master file from S-GA with the logical sequence.

If FV offers yet another sequence, then what is it? Perhaps according to one of the printed books?

@raffazizzi I don't think I ever found my way to the resequenced views on the website, so thanks for that! My head was in the TEI XML of the S-GA to try to organize collation alignments, and I suppose the FV confirms (or most likely confirms) the logical sequencing you have here, for Volume 1 (so far):

One thing we can do is test and see if our sequencing is the same as what you have there! More likely than not it will be, but it might be worth comparing at some point.

This reminds me that out of our FV collation alignment work, I made a visualization showing where S-GA is missing content in the other editions, and where it contains duplicate content across c56, c57, and c58. @raffazizzi I think what FV will do differently from S-GA is to view all the notebooks together in one sequence instead of separated by volumes as they currently appear on S-GA's site. And also, of course, FV shows S-GA's notebook edition in comparison with aligned passages from the other editions.

Since the first page of S-GA is not the first page of the novel, but in medias res in chapter 1 (none of the initial Walton letters for example), you can't really start reading the whole novel from S-GA's site. S-GA's page one is literally this: http://shelleygodwinarchive.org/sc/oxford/frankenstein/volume/i/#/p1 (which is in our collation unit 07).
