Client Insta Closes

as per title the run server runs perfectly fine but when I open the client it flashes up for a split second and insta closes. I have all the latest java installed etc

If you're using Windows can you try right clicking in an empty space in file explorer and there should be a "Open in Terminal" option, if you run java -jar void-client.jar -d32 in the command line what does it say?

it says "Error: Unable to access jarfile void-client.jar"

I did "java -jar void-client-1.2.0.jar -d32" and it came back with "Error: Could not find or load main class Loader" "Caused by: java.lang.NoClassDeffFoundError: java/applet/Applet"

Thanks, sounds like this is a java version issue.
Either:

1. There's an old java version installed that it's using instead of the current one.
2. The java version you have installed is a trimmed down version and doesn't include some legacy support options which the client requires

Can you run these commands in the terminal and paste the outputs here, hopefully that'll be enough for me to figure out what's going on.

java -XshowSettings:properties -version
