Is it possible to implement a square brackets format for pinyin/bopomofo in addition (or instead of) ruby, similar to how it's done in Japanese Support and Migaku Chinese?
The reason I am asking this is that I believe it's much easier to edit than ruby. It also looks better than having pinyin/bopomofo on a separate line.

That would actually be pretty useful, the two things which bug me the most are when the addon gets the tones wrong and I have to manually edit the class and also when google tts gets the tones wrong. Something like this would make it a lot easier to modify things.
