Anki add on will not populate

Anki auto population is not working. link to video will be attached.

The actual problem is that the fields do not populate. I created a "colors deck" Go to the Hanzi field and I type green but the characters do not populate. I 'tab' my way through and nothing. https://share.vidyard.com/watch/6XfRp52cAKWYyykDddw74B?

Additional context
I open up anki but prior to when I open my refurbished mac there is a "?" in the dock. So everytime I turn on my mac and click the application it has to verify and then I have to select "open". So I am not sure if issues can stem from that.

Thank you for creating this. Any help would be great if not then I will just have to go old school and create the cards by hand.

You need to enter a hanzi in the hanzi field and it should work properly.
