Selection screen for sub types has a big scaling issue

If the window height is getting bigger than the window width, the labels of the sub types start to vanish beyond the left element border.
Also, since the label box size depends on the window width, large label text gets cut off if the window width does not have a certain width.
Furthermore, when one sub type is selected the labels of the other types vanish even earlier and the selected label gets cut off quite much if it is not very small.

These problems occur even on large screen. Having a window that has a bigger height than width is also a very usual scenario e.g. when using two windows side by side.

I generally think that a vertical layout would be better for this screen.
