Problem with Kodi as an executable

Hi,

just started testing Raysession as want to add reverb effects to my Kodi installation.
it seems Kodi has some annoying behavior in that a test with VLC seemed to work OK, but as soon as I add Kodi and start playing a movie to be able to create connections, it always directly links both to the output and my effects, while it should just connect to the effects.

how can I have Kodi behave like VLC? is it a matter of output configuration in Kodi?

Hi.

Do you use JACK or Pipewire, there is an option with JACK allowing to manage the way programs auto-connect their outputs to main playback ports (self-connect-mode). This option probably exists on Pipewire. This page could help:

thanks for your reply, it's Pipewire on Ubuntu 24.04.
I tried

jack.self-connect-mode = fail-all

in that file but it did not help.
