Can Patchance display ALSA hardware midi ports?
If not I'd like to make a feature request for that.

Yes you can. Right click in the patchbay -> Canvas options. Check the "Provide ALSA MIDI ports" checkbox. You need python3-pyalsa package (or something with a similar name depending on your distribution).
