Inhibit when connected to AC power, dont when not connected to ac

I most of the time leave my laptop connected to AC to leave some script running. Would like for AC power to inhibit my system. Not sure if this is a good idea for security and battery life reasons but if someone is in my own home i got bigger problems i think and i usually leave my laptop with people i trust (most of my time im in a club where everyone knows everyone and they know my laptop and there is aways people there). Might be a way for my system to go to sleep and not turn off wifi (but i guess it can't bc it uses a lot of power? not sure myself). I leave my laptop on a lot has not failed me yet (though i should probably battery life test to know for sure and not sure if they work though would need to look into it). Would like some input
