Transient SMB forcing?

What's the best way to set up transient SMB forcing? It seems like the SMB package wants parameters to have dimensions of Nx1 or (N+1)x1 where N is the number of vertices. I'm trying to have the glacier SMB evolve seasonally. Thanks!

You have to create a transient forcing, it is one column per time slice, and the bottom row is the time (in years). If you have a monthly forcing, you can do something like:

md.smb.mass_balance=zeros(md.mesh.numberofvertices+1, 12);
md.smb.mass_balance(1:end-1, 1) = SMB_january;
md.smb.mass_balance(1:end-1, 2) = SMB_february;
...
%time (last row)
md.smb.mass_balance(end,:) = 2020:1/12:2021-1/12;

and if you just want to repeat this cycle again and again you can add:

md.timestepping.cycle_forcing=1;
