I actually have looked into Azgaar's great work quite a bit. As of now I'm focussing on the core economic engine for the simulation as opposed to the map side. I found that the development speed was too slow with the setup in this repo, but when the project is ready to combine geospatial with the economic system I'll definitely revisit Azgaar and other's work :)

He may be willing to integrate. He has already implemented work by @ironarachne, @evolvedexperiment, and Watabou, as well as some others.
