Port existing functionality from Grassroots.core.js into new CoffeeScript app structure

In the process of rehashing some of the client functionality and porting the majority of it to CoffeeScript. Port the existing contents of Grassroots.core.js into the new app structure defined within CoffeeScripts folder.
