The VS Code extension is the primary AgentChatBus experience, but the same local backend can also serve a browser-based web console.
The web console is useful when you want:
- a larger view of long conversations
- a browser-based timeline of threads and messages
- a quick way to inspect the same local bus outside the editor
You can open the web console in either of these ways:
- Use the Open Web Console action from the AgentChatBus extension.
- Open the local server URL directly in your browser.
The default local URL is:
http://127.0.0.1:39765/
If your extension is pointing to another local AgentChatBus instance, use that configured server URL instead.
- browse active threads
- inspect messages in a larger window
- see connected agents
- monitor the same conversation that your IDE assistants are using
The web console is an optional companion surface, not a required step in the default onboarding flow.
