Request for References on SOSFS Wake Superposition Model #1065

Dear all, I am currently studying wind turbine wake superposition models and came across the "Sum Of Squares Freestream Superposition" (SOSFS) model. However, I am unable to find any reference literature or related papers in the available manuals and documentation. Could anyone please point me to any relevant research or publications on the SOSFS model? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.🙇 |

Hi @CaiZhiming-HHU , The sum of squares combination model is originally from Katic et al. (1987). To understand its use in FLORIS, you can check out section 2.1.3 in Annoni et al's 2018 paper describing the Gaussian wake model. But you make a great point that the Katic source is not well documented in the code or on the documentation page, I'll look into fixing that! |
