I've got a VPS can I host a game on it ?

Hi guys my friend and I looking for host a game on a VPS but I don't think it is possible. Am I right or not ?

It works - using the -nographics -server params, no GPU is needed. If it is linux, use wine with it. Make sure, you patch steam out of it (Goldbergs). Forward Port: TCP 8469 (nebula.cfg default). Use SteamCMD to install. Start the game as service, in windows you may use nssm. You should create a user, and set the game folder to be used by that user (lock the user into that folder) and start the game with that user for security reasons (plugins). Works in Docker as well (there is a container out there).

Note:
Your VPS provider might have a fair-use policy of only allowing 2min of 100% CPU or 1min of 100% LAN usage. You might check that first.

Note:
The UPS will go up drastically. The VPS will for sure have a better connection then your home internet. That means, it will send loads of data and saturate your connection (thus not maxing out the server CPU) but will choke because of little bandwidth and raise the UPS due to more and more units. (We have a current slow down of 8 to 11 seconds on 250 kbs internet)
