Can Harvest also monitor latency per qtree?

I heard that starting with Ontap 9.16, we can monitor latency per qtree. Is it possible to monitor this in Harvest as well?

Qtrees per cluster
You can enable extended performance monitoring for a maximum of 50,000 qtrees in an ONTAP cluster.

Access extended metrics using the ONTAP REST API
Beginning with ONTAP 9.16.1, you can access the extended qtree performance monitoring feature through the ONTAP REST API. The basic capabilities fall into several categories as described below.

Enable and disable extended performance monitoring
You can access the property ext_performance_monitoring.enabled at the endpoint /api/storage/qtrees to enable or disable the extended monitoring feature. The POST and PATCH methods are available depending on whether you are creating a new qtree or configuring an existing qtree.

Retrieve global monitoring metrics and settings
Several new global properties have been added to the /api/storage/qtrees endpoint. You can retrieve these fields using the GET method.

At this time, we are interested in collecting the qtree-level latency metrics.

hi @wooyoungAhn we have something for you to try - this is working for us in the lab.
There are several caveats in the documentation you shared. These metrics are only collected when the following conditions are met:

• ONTAP version is 9.16.1+
• ONTAP's extended qtree performance monitoring is enabled for the qtree in question
• After enabling for a qtree, you need to remount the affected volume to activate this feature

After enabling on the ONTAP side and remounting, try these steps on the Harvest side:

1. Create a conf/keyperf/9.16.0 directory
2. Copy/paste the template below into the conf/keyperf/9.16.0 directory.
3. Enable Qtree in your conf/keyperf/default.yaml by uncommenting it at line 22.
4. Restart Harvest
5. Wait ~2m and you should see qtree latency metrics
