Does the rsyslog running on the VM have to store logs locally?
My initial thought is to spin up an rsyslog container that will receive logs from the computes and forward to someplace else, something you can set in the docker compose environment.

We did this with rsyslog running on the head node. Is this something we want to pursue long-term? If so, we can move this from the SI project to the general roadmap.
