[Bug]: puppetdb crash: Invalid -Xlog option

Describe the Bug

puppetdb crashes with following error:

puppetdb Invalid -Xlog option '-Xlog:gc*:file=/opt/puppetlabs/server/data/puppetdb/logs/puppetdb_gc.log', see error log for details.                                                                                                                         
puppetdb Error: Could not create the Java Virtual Machine.                                                                                                                                                                                                   
puppetdb Error: A fatal exception has occurred. Program will exit.

Install helm chart as described in readme.

Me too. I switched to chart version v9.5.2 and it worked.

As a workaround, you can also also override the default OPENVOXDB_JAVA_ARGS and remove -Xlog from it, f.e. like this:

puppetdb:
  extraEnv:
    OPENVOXDB_JAVA_ARGS: "-Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -Xms256m -Xmx256m -XX:+UseParallelGC -Djdk.tls.ephemeralDHKeySize=2048"

Hi,

Had the same issue. The real issue appear to be that the logs directory does not exist initially in the PV for /opt/puppetlabs/server/data/puppetdb (puppetdb-storage). Creating the directory manually solved the issue for me.
