New account with facebook connect don't send welcome email.

What's happened?

When someone creates a new account using Facebook connect the welcome email is not sent to that person and also the Redirect After SignUp link is not triggered. Is this a bug or it's working as designed? And if it is working as designed can you implement it on the next update of the app? Because only the members that register using the form will get the welcome email and will be redirected to the designed page, and all members should get the email and be redirected.
