Summary

@pauldambra and others have identified areas of improvement in our docs around privacy – both in policies and in the options available for controlling what is captured.

Some issues we should tackle (please add more to this list)

  • Privacy documentation should be all in one place
  • Explain how you can use masking, blocking and ignoring to replay, events, and network capture
  • SOC2 documentation should direct to our handbook page
  • Better information on configuring cookie consent (afaik, this is in tutorials rather than privacy docs directly)
  • Add information about where EU data is hosted to GDPR docs

Note: See docs ownership in the handbook for more context on who does what.

What kind of request is this?

  • New docs page / feature
  • Update to existing pages
  • Not sure

Which product is this for?

  • Product OS (e.g. platform features)
  • Product analytics
  • Session replay
  • Feature flags
  • Experiments
  • Surveys
  • CDP
  • Data warehouse
  • Other (e.g. open source specific)

Is there a deadline for this change?

  • Yes (please specify)
  • No
