We now have a skeleton of our "Foundational" tutorial content here: https://projectpythia.org/pythia-foundations/
The mission for this collection is to provide foundational knowledge that all geoscience users need in order to use open-source Python-based tools to do science. More specifically, this collection will serve as a common reference point for more advanced and domain-specific content to be hosted on the Pythia portal (and supplied by the community). Authors of advanced material will be able to link to relevant tutorials in the Foundations so they can assume specific knowledge and don't have to reinvent any wheels.
At the EWG meeting today we discussed what to call this collection!
Do we like Project Pythia Foundations? Or something else?
We also have a bit of a namespace collision. Currently we use "Foundations" for the overall title, but also have a major heading called "Foundational Skills", and another major heading called "Core Scientific Python Packages".
The "core" here rests on the "foundation"... but in another sense the entire content is considered "foundations" for more advanced material.
Please share your thoughts on catchy and appropriate names here.
