bug: complains about tx signature for testnet (sometimes) #2768

When signing txs for the testnet, it gives an error sometimes, but not consistently:

Error: Incompatible EIP155-based V 843518 and chain id 421614. See the Common parameter of the Transaction constructor to set the chain id.

Are you using Ledger?
It's might be a known issue of Ledger

Please upgrade the firmware version of ledger

my firmware is already at the latest version and so is the ethereum application
