Remote monitoring using SNMP #5

I am not sure if this is the right place to make such a feature request, but would it be possible to include a lightweight SNMP server in the RoPieee in order to make available basic remote monitoring? It's a very simple and effective tool, and it sorely lacks right now.
I know RoPieee is supposed to work unattended, but in my experience sometimes this doesn't happen out of the box, and it is very useful to be able to keep an eye on the system to find out when issues emerge.
Moreover, snmp provides a good platform for integration into home automation systems.
