Hello,
Today all computers in our organization got prompt for admin rights and it was a big panic... Why winget app doesn't ignore applications that asks for admin rights ? I have enabled user context updates but i don't want to asks administrator for updates. Can it be done if app asks for admin prompt to skip installation if user is not administrator?
Prompts are the problem in general. If can't be made to check if user is administrator than can you add GPO to ignore apps that asks for prompts?
We had this problem a couple of months ago but fewer people and another app but today was a big problem with that app.
I don\t want to stop user updates :(

When that prompt appears it is winget itself that tells you and then starts the installation in SYSTEM context.
Nothing WAU can interfere with.

Add the problematic apps to a black list. Or do it the corporate way:

• Use a white list and only allow tested application updates

No idea, but you can exclude Microsoft.AppInstaller and its dependencies (like Windows App Runtime).
These dependencies require administrator privileges to install, which causes the upgrade to fail when running as a regular user.
By letting the Store handle App Installer updates automatically (which it does in the background with appropriate privileges), you avoid this conflict.
It is WinGet itself...
