[BUG] Slideshow no longer works properly after running for a longer period of time

Description

On a RaspberryPI 4 Anthias has been installed through Raspberry Pi Imager.
It is used for a "slideshow" of 7 jpgs (3840x2160) with a TV as display (via HDMI) 1920x1080 FullHD.
After (re)booting the Raspberrypi the slideshow works as expected.

The RaspberryPI is not turned off any time, but the display (TV) over night.
After some days the slideshow starts to lag, some jpgs showing up only partially -> the slideshow is no more woking properly (until a reboot).

Steps to Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Use Anthias installed via Pi Imager on a RaspberryPI 4 - connect to TV 1920x1080 FullHD
2. Upload 7 images (3840x2160) for a slideshow (with 20 seconds time)
3. Let Anthias on the RaspberryPI running without reboot several days (but switch off the TV over night)
4. See slideshow stutters, no more working as designed

Expected Behavior

Use Anthias slideshow w/o rebooting the RaspberryPI as designed - no stuttering

You can either do any the following:

• Install Anthias on a Raspberry Pi running Raspberry Pi OS Lite (Bookworm): https://github.com/Screenly/Anthias/blob/master/docs/installation-options.md#installing-on-raspberry-pi-os-lite-or-debian
• Downloading and flashing the images from balenaHub: https://github.com/Screenly/Anthias/blob/master/docs/installation-options.md#installing-on-raspberry-pi-os-lite-or-debian

@nicomiguelino , thanks for your answer - would the installation on Raspberry Pi OS Lite (bookworm) resolve the described problems?

@the-other-martin, the Anthias imager in the Raspberry Pi Imager is an older version. Throughout the releases, we changed how images are rendered, so it is very likely that those problems will be resolved.

If you are still having issues after trying alternative installation methods, please let me know.

Thanks @nicomiguelino - tested the last days - the manually installed Anthias seems to work stable!
