holding a bucket in one hand and a trident in the other, casting 'riptide' will cause a small rush towards the target, during which I will be pulled to the ground as if gravity is acting on me, so the movement looks like 'sliding'. In other words, i'm not free to wing. it seems to be uncompatible with the 'better combat' mod, as I can't think of any other suspected mods. maybe it's the 'not enough animation' or 'wall jump TXF' mods, but they seem unlikely. on the other hand it doesn't crash while playing the game, so there are no crash reports. besides I tried adjusting the mod's Trident-specific arguments in the server's 'config' to observe the change, but it didn't reflect what I entered.
