newest matrix version gives error

hi, when running scMerge2() I get an error:
Error in (function (A, nv = 5, nu = nv, maxit = 1000, work = nv + 7, reorth = TRUE, : function 'as_cholmod_sparse' not provided by package 'Matrix'

I narrowed it down to not being able to use the newest Matrix version, when I downgrade to 1.6-1 it works, however then I can't run Seurat anymore which needs at least 1.6-3....

Is there any work around for that?
