  • Make any images (e.g. the scroll cue, and the social icons) into sprites, with a separate sprite for standard res images and retina.
  • Convert all animations that are still in the skrollr stylesheets file into JS, so that those stylesheets don't have to be requested (but then find someway to update the skrollr stylesheets code so it still works with responsive).

This is a hacky solution addressing part of #13. It’ll get better.

Also http://calendar.perfplanet.com/2013/the-runtime-performance-checklist/ And, of course, the Google Page Speed tests, which don't have us doing very well.
