[FEATURE] Vertical calendar layout #957

Is your feature request related to a problem?
I don't like it that the calendar is set with little space left for events horizontally! I'd rather see more events.
Describe the solution you'd like
Allow for a vertical layout, thereby giving more space for events to be viewed:
Note: I can see about 1.5-2 more events!
