Titan can't add new columns to the table? (I see columns are in ignore_changes).

I want to manage SF tables with titan, which means not only creating them, but extending later.
Do I understand correctly that titan ignores column changes, and doesn't support even adding of them ?
I understand there are complicated cases of altering columns which requires arbitrary data migrations,
but even basic case of adding new columns (in create-or-update mode) doesn't work?
Is it something planned to add ?

I am in the same situation as @mihasK - need to alter the tables/columns. Is it possible to alter them with titan core? I am running titan core on gitlab for CICD.
