"Paragraph" format line visible in Mobile web version when nothing to format ???

This continues my questions from https://github.com/orgs/TriliumNext/discussions/1106... Apologies to the originator there for "hijacking" the original post.

My Trilium.cc server now has .7, and I'm learning to use the new mobile mode on my tiny iPhone SE2020. The "Paragraph" formatting line no longer hides most of the note name, Thank You! But why does it appear there at all?

If I open a note and select a line, I can't get the format selectors. I guess such formats just can't be changed in Mobile mode? Or in Desktop mode via web on iOS?

So why does that line appear when there is noting to format? What am I not understanding?

Initially it was made to appear only when the text editor was focused (and thus the keyboard is displayed), but unfortunately that has some downsides if you open popups for heading, etc.

Can you provide a screenshot or a video of the issue? What do you mean that you can't get format selectors?

Desktop mode on mobile (especially a small-sized one as yours) is not a good idea. You'll have even more issues.

After a long experimentation session, I understand a bit of this.

When I just tap the "Paragraph" word with nothing selected, nothing happens. If I click on a note line so it shows a cursor, or have previously left a cursor on a line, I get a flash and my keyboard disappears. If I then tap "Paragraph" again, with the keyboard gone, I get the options selector! (The screen video doesn't reveal when I tapped the "Paragraph" line - just before the flash or keyboard change.)

Turns out it only happens with my MessagEase keyboard.

And it isn't the unusual height of that keyboard - I can shrink it much smaller than the default iOS keyboard and the same flash problem happens. I have never seen MessagEase cause any problem anywhere, and I've used it on every device since ancient flip-phones added text messaging. Strange!

Similar issue with things like Bold or Underline - select some text, tap Done on the keyboard, click the option icon... At least I know how to work around this.

New question - the "Collapse, Scroll, Tree Settings" buttons that are usually at the bottom of the tree seem to have disappeared. I just checked all my recent screenshots and it only seems to show in Desktop mode. Is there some quick way to collapse the tree after I've drilled way down into the details?

The iOS screen video won't play here. When I try to download it, the default save is as a text file, and nothing gets saved. If I manually edit the save extension to "MP4" before saving, it works.

For anyone struggling with themes and formatting on tiny iPhones, try installing the Stellar Dark theme:

All my issues about tree spacing and odd layouts are suddenly gone! The Next_StellarDark theme is designed specifically for Trilium Next.

I edited it a bit to tweak some colors, and found that when I try to Ctrl+F search for any text item, it highlights the item, and the up/down arrows highlight previous/next items, but any automatic scroll always goes to the top of the note. If there is no search hit in the first screen, you won't see any highlight unless you manually scroll down to it.

I've tried some old theme notes, and search works normally there. Could there be something special about the Stellar theme code? It is much longer...

I'm on an Arch Linux install of 0.92.7, with a Trilium.cc server connection.
