Make sense thinking of an AVI container?

From my Windows users someone asked why I removed the export of AVI movie files from my application.
I had them before done converting WebM movies to AVI using ffmpeg. Now I moved to Mediabunny and this option disappeared.
I don't know if the AVI format is to be considered "old" and I have to educate the users to use a more modern format like MP4 or if it makes sense to propose an AVI output format for Mediabunny.

AVI is a very dated format and I would say it's obsolete. I intentionally haven't bothered including it in Mediabunny because it's old and not really recommended to be used anymore. GPT-5's thoughts:
