undecodable_source_codec spontaneously started appearing without change to the code or input file

I've ben having some trouble converting an MP4 file to WebM. The code has definitely worked before with this input file - I've included the original and successfully converted files. Now when I run the conversion I see:

I've had a brief look through the discarded track, but I'm not really sure what I'm looking for. I've added stringified copy of it. There were some circular references so I've replaced duplicate objects with a reference to the included version. For example root[0].track.input._reader.source is the same object as root[0].track.input._source so I've replaced it with "root[0].track.input._source") .

I'm wondering if something about my environment / browser version might have changed and caused this to start happening. Has anyone seen this before?

🤦‍♂️ I did some digging and the issue was I started testing the app on http rather than https. In Chrome at least, AudioDecoder / VideoDecoder is only available in secure contexts and InputTrack.canDecode fails if they aren't defined causing the track to be discarded
