I was converted to agentic coding by ClaudeCode, but it is not an option because I do not want to be locked in. I am currently trying out goose, and it does not really compare:
With
code_executionanddeveloperextensions activated, basic stuff is not working. Goose keeps giving the agent files with duplicated content, it keeps writing markdown blocks instead of raw content into files. There is no way for setting sane defaults for the Agent's permissions. It keeps recreating files, which destroys undo history. There is no built-in functionality for accepting changes.Do I have a skill or configuration issue, or is there a significant gap in functionality between goose and claudecode?
